Research Focus

The mission of this laboratory is the elucidation of molecular mechanisms in biological systems and the agricultural, industrial and medical applications of these mechanism. For these purposes, the members are studying biological products (genes, proteins, nucleic acids, and glycoconjugates) and events (cell differentiation, cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions, tissue development, and immunological recognition) using biological, molecular and cell biological, and immunochemical techniques.

Current our interests center on followed phenomena.

• Molecular and cellular mechanisms in development and involution of the mammary gland
• Biological functions of the milk components in vivo and their molecular mechanism
• Translational (protein synthesis) regulation in the higher animals
• Higher bioregulatory systems in the mammals -Cancer research etc.-
• Epithelial tissue biology responding to the bioactive molecules such as foods and environmental factors.
